Job Description Job Description Career Strategies , a nationwide property management placement company, is currently hiring experienced Apartment Maintenance Technicians for communities in the Poway, Ca area and surrounding cities . These are temporary and temp-to-hire opportunities offering flexible schedules and weekly pay . Position Summary: In this role, you will help maintain apartment communities by completing day-to-day maintenance and ensuring units are move-in ready. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and takes pride in providing quality service to residents. Key Responsibilities: Complete apartment make-readies and unit turns Perform basic plumbing repairs, including sinks, showers, toilets, fixture replacement, and drain clearing Handle light electrical work such as replacing outlets, switches, and fixtures Complete general carpentry tasks, including drywall patching, door and lock replacement, cabinet installation, and touch-up painting Assist with appliance installation and minor repairs (washers/dryers, stoves, garbage disposals, etc.) Respond to service requests and work orders with professionalism and clear communication Provide courteous service and realistic timelines to residents Qualifications: Minimum of 6 months of maintenance experience in apartments, residential properties, hotels, or private homes Working knowledge of general maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, drywall, and appliances Must supply personal hand tools and drill and bring them to the site daily Reliable transportation required Ability to travel approximately 15–25 miles per day Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn HVAC, EPA, CPO, or CFC certifications are a plus What We Offer: Pay range: $22–$24 per hour , based on experience and community Weekly pay with consistent, on-time compensation Flexible scheduling options Additional Information: All candidates must be authorized to work in the United States Background screening required Equal Opportunity Employer Apply Today: If you’re an experienced maintenance professional ready for your next opportunity, we encourage you to apply.
