Responsibilities:
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining laptop workstations,
printers, operating systems, applications, and associated
services.
- Monitoring system performance and proactively troubleshooting
issues to ensure optimal system and network availability.
- Managing user accounts, permissions, email, and security
settings.
- Collaborating with team members to identify and implement
system enhancements to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Evaluating, recommending, and implementing software and
hardware upgrades.
- Ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance with
established standards.
- Running workstation security scans and troubleshooting
quarantine issues.
- Providing timely technical support to end-users, addressing
technical issues and inquiries.
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to
enhance the organization's IT infrastructure.Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology,
or a related field (or equivalent work experience).Experience and
Qualifications:
- CompTIA S+ certification
- Proven experience as a System Administrator or in a similar
role.
- Familiarity with Windows 10 and 11 operating systems.
- Experience with government networks and administration a plus
(e.g., RDTE, NMCI)
- Proficiency in virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware,
Hyper-V).
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Other relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure
Administrator, CompTIA Server+, etc.) are advantageous.Knowledge,
Skills, and Abilities:
- In-depth knowledge of Windows operating systems.
- Familiarity with networking protocols and concepts.
- Proficiency in virtualization technologies and cloud
platforms.
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best
practices.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Excellent communication skills for effectively interacting with
users and team members.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a
fast-paced environment.
- Capacity to adapt and learn quickly in a constantly evolving IT
landscape.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and
priorities effectively.
