Technologist 1 at Loma Linda University, you will play a critical
role in providing high-quality imaging services to our patients.
Under the supervision of a licensed radiologist, you will be
responsible for performing computed tomography (CT) scans based on
prescribed protocols. Your expertise will ensure that patients are
prepared physically and mentally for the exam, and that equipment
is used safely and effectively. You will also maintain a
professional demeanor and adhere to National Patient Safety Goals
(NSPG) by verifying patient identifiers for each exam.
Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining radiation
safety regulations and immunology protocols. Your ability to work
effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment will be essential
in this role.\n\n**Responsibilities:**\n\n* Prepare patients for CT
scans by explaining the procedure and positioning them correctly\n*
Operate CT scanners to produce high-quality images\n* Maintain
accurate records of patient information and exam results\n*
Collaborate with licensed care providers to ensure seamless patient
care\n* Stay up-to-date with the latest imaging technologies and
techniques\n\n**Requirements:**\n\n* Graduate from an accredited
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) approved
program in Radiologic Technology\n* One year of experience in
Computer Tomography (CT) preferred\n* Knowledge of CT Radiology
procedures, CT Scanners, radiation safety, universal precautions,
immunology protocols, and general office software and equipment\n*
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate
professionally with patients and colleagues\n* Ability to maintain
confidentiality and handle sensitive patient
information\n\n**Certifications and Licenses:**\n\n* Certified
Radiologic Technologist (CRT), American Registry of Radiologic
Technologists (ARRT) (R)\n* Basic Life Support (BLS)
Certification\n* IV Certification\n* Computed Tomography (CT) ARRT
Registry eligible and must be taken within 6 months of hire date\n*

Computed Tomography (CT) ARRT Registry eligible and must be taken
within 6 months of hire date. ARRT (CT) must be obtained within 12
months of hire date.\n\n**Education and Experience:**\n\nGraduate
from an accredited American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
(ARRT) approved program in Radiologic Technology required. One year
of experience in Computer Tomography (CT) preferred.\n\n**Knowledge
and Skills:**\n\nKnowledge of CT Radiology procedures, CT Scanners,
radiation safety, universal precautions, immunology protocols, and
general office software and equipment. Skill to apply knowledge of
CT Scanners and radiology procedures to produce contrast and
non-contrast studies of all body locations. Skill to ensure all
scans adhere to radiation safety, universal protections, and
immunology. Ability to complete paperwork correctly and efficiently
and maintain rooms orderly and clean. Ability to read; write
legibly; speak in English (and Spanish preferred) with professional
quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to
the position, e.g., Microsoft Office, Outlook, electronic event
reporting program, established organization electronic medical
record; comprehend and follow-through with instructions; ability to
relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally
with others; be assertive and consistent in following and enforcing
policies; lead, supervise, teach, and accept direction; think
critically and use good judgment; problem solve and collaborate
with licensed care providers as necessary. Ability to work in a
challenging clinical environment; demonstrate self-motivation; work
independently with minimal supervision; communicate effectively in
English in person, in writing, and on the telephone; think
critically; perform basic math and statistical functions; compose
written material; multitask and manage multiple assignments
effectively; organize and prioritize workload; problem solve;
recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to
