Job Description:
A company is looking for a Utilization Review Clinician to join
their team in a full-time capacity.
Key Responsibilities
Review and coordinate clinical utilization and external payer
expectations for patient admissions
Act as a clinical resource for the healthcare team regarding
admission appropriateness and continued stays
Gather clinical information to report to insurance companies for
authorization of continued stays
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
Clinical credential such as a counselor certificate or nursing
license (RN or LPN)
Three years of behavioral healthcare clinical counseling, nursing,
or clinical case management experience
License or credential to function as an alcohol and drug treatment
counselor in the respective state
CPR/First Aid Certification
Master's degree in a behavioral healthcare related field
(preferred)
