fantastic perks!Job SummaryThe Customs Compliance Partner will
oversee customs compliance responsibilities under the Supply Chain
Group This position will provide a assist with leverage expertise
in international trade regulations, particularly USMCA,
anti-dumping, countervailing duties, and Customs and Border
Protection compliance.Essential Functions
- Ensure that trade operations adhere to U.S. and international
regulatory standards
- Safeguard the company against risks while enhancing the
efficiency of our global trade processes
- Clarify trade practices and contribute to the overall success
of our manufacturing operations by setting standards and routines
to drive compliance excellence
- Accurately maintain all necessary records and documentation
related to customs clearance, including but not limited to
import/export records and duty/tax payments
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for trade
compliance activities, ensuring progress toward compliance goals,
including audit outcomes and non-compliance prevention
- Tariff classifications, duty rates, preference program
qualifications, and other applicable customs compliance criteria
with the customs broker.
- Audits customs entries for correctness and conformity with
appropriate laws and regulations
- Provide training and advice on the changes in customs
requirements.
- Monitor changes in trade regulations (e.g., U.S. Customs
Regulations, HTSUS, NAFTA) and advise key stakeholders on how these
changes will affect global operations
- Assist in maintaining and enhancing the global trade compliance
program, ensuring it meets regulatory standards and fostering
continuous improvement through audits and corrective actions
- Other duties as assignedMinimum Education and Experience
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in International Business, Supply Chain
Management, Logistics, or related field or equivalent level of
experience
- 7 years of experience in trade compliance, customs, or
international logistics
- Demonstrated experience in tariff classification
- Knowledge and experience interpreting Free Trade Agreements as
they relate to truck and trailer and their parts
- Familiar with ACH and Periodic Monthly Statements
- Intermediate or above skill with Microsoft Office Programs
including Excel, Word, PowerPointPreferred Education and Experience
Requirements
- Certification in trade compliance, e.g., Certified Customs
Specialist (CCS) or similar
- In-depth knowledge of USMCA, anti-dumping, and CBP
regulations
- Experience with Change ManagementCertification in trade
compliance, e.g., Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) or
similar
- In-depth knowledge of USMCA, anti-dumping, and CBP
regulations
- Experience with Change ManagementLanguage Requirement
