Maker Maravai LifeSciences is seeking a MiracleMaker to join our
CDMO Commercial team as a Director, Commercial CDMO. As a Director,
Commercial CDMO, you will oversee and develop CDMO Services sales
and PgM teams. Position is reporting to the VP and GM of Trilink
CDMO and this leader will have responsibility for CDMO sales
strategies, mRNA service markets and strategic positioning,
pricing, customer / program management and forecasting for the
TriLink CDMO services business. This leader will evaluate market
performance while developing corporate long-range plans, goals, and
objectives to strategically increase revenue and CDMO capabilities.
This leader will interact with varying levels of internal and
external customers as well as our business partners internal to
Trilink Global products and services with a team-focused approach
for continuous improvement and revenue growth. Strong sales
strategies, business acumen, mRNA market awareness, customer focus
and mRNA CDMO program experience are essential. How you will make
an impact: Drive sales and program management for CDMO services
(Pre IND through to BLA and Commercialization) by identifying,
developing, and closing opportunities across biotech, pharma,
diagnostics, and life sciences accounts and managing milestones
across execution to provide a best in Class Customer experience.
Develop and manage individual(s) as a part of the CDMO Leadership
team to achieve defined sales and business objectives across the
CDMO Service portfolio. Build and sustain executive-level
relationships with key decision-makers to catalyze the sales
process. Drive the development of new preclinical and clinical
service accounts leveraging Trilink CDMO Capabilities including
Process Development, Analytical Services and GMP to support the
Customer journey from IND though to BLA and Commercialization. Own
Global CDMO strategies, pipeline management, and accurate
forecasting through CRM (Salesforce). Partner cross-functionally
with Maravai / Trilink Global Marketing, Commercial and Product
Management to align on account strategies and educational campaigns
raising awareness of TriLink's CDMO capabilities. Develop and
implement effective educational campaigns to support expansion of
CDMO services awareness pre-GMP, preclinical to GMP and IND, and
through Phase 2/3 to BLA and Commercialization Represent TriLink at
key conferences, symposia, and industry events; stay current on
mRNA clinical trends Leverage VOC to inform marketing tactics and
product development strategy. Lead management and accuracy of
proposals, MSAs, SOWs, and other high-quality client-facing
materials. Meet or exceed revenue and pipeline growth targets.
Develops and maintains tools to effectively review, analyze and
expand TriLink CDMO services sales achievements and program
execution vs. strategic goals Develops and maintains forecasting,
analysis and market share attainment for TriLink CDMO services with
a deep understanding of market position, costs, pricing and
supporting analytics. Stays current with industry trends and market
intelligence, specifically with respect to TriLink's current CDMO
services and capabilities, to understand key competitive issues in
relation to process, timing, costs, pricing and business strategy
Responsible for program management and customer satisfaction as we
manage contract milestones and Change Orders across programs and
CDMO services departments. Leads with cross-functional
stakeholders, including Quality, Legal, Finance, PD / MFG, Supply
Chain, R&D, and Eng to execute internal costing, SOW execution
and best-in-class customer experience Gathers market and
competitive intelligence and stays attuned to customer needs /
feedback Monitors and aligns customer requirements with CDMO
capabilities to effectively coordinate and execute on-time program
delivery of GMP SOWs. Develops, communicates, and coordinates
improvements in strategy and execution, and provides development
for the sales and program management teams to achieve goals
Provides proactive and in-depth financial analysis to drive sales
across CDMO services Conducts advanced analysis and business
research to report on current and future CDMO services Leads
strategies for sales promotions, marketing materials, and Maravai /
Trilink cross selling Needs to be able to work in a fast-paced,
multi-tasking environment Performs other duties as assigned The
skills and experience that you will bring: BS in Molecular Biology,
Biochemistry, Genomics, or related field (Advanced degree
preferred). At least 7 to 10 years of relevant work experience in
the biopharmaceutical industry, with at least 5 years of sales
achievements and customer-facing experience, preferably in a CDMO
setting Proven ability to sell in complex, multi-stakeholder
environments with demonstrable revenue growth achievements and
strong indirect leadership capabilities, particularly in
influencing and motivating teams to achieve group goals Strong
people leader with at least 5 years of people management in a
commercial related team Ability to work independently with 40%
travel across territories. Technical background in nucleic acid,
gene editing, cell therapy and/ or bioprocessing Strong
understanding of drug development pathways, GMP manufacturing, and
regulatory requirements. Skilled in Salesforce, MS Office (Word,
Excel, PowerPoint); strong presentation and negotiation skills.
Strong communication and presentation skills Must demonstrate
collaborative work style, with a strong ability to build
relationships, gain credibility, and partner with internal
customers Strong organizational and strategic management skills
Strong analytic skills in the area of mRNA service programs to
provide growth strategies Ability to summarize detailed data into
an actionable recommendation for a variety of audiences Ability to
manage multiple projects simultaneously, with great attention to
detail Ability to work in a fast paced, results, and deadline
driven environment The anticipated salary range for this position
is $200,000 - $225,000. In addition, highly competitive long-term
incentives in the form of company equity, bonus participation and
company sponsored benefits are provided as part of the total
compensation package. The salary offer will depend on multiple
factors which may include the successful candidate's skills,
experience and other qualifications, as well as the location of the
